As a young Tlingit girl collects wild berries over the seasons, she sings with her Grandmother as she learns to speak to the land and listen when the land speaks back.
Why I like this book: The reader learns about different types of berries while the characters collect them from a boat. It includes Indigenous characters in the story without it their identity being the main story. The grandma and the kid happen to be Indigenous, but are picking berries, something everyone can do.
